Which Characteristics make you well suited to be an accountant?
For whatever reason, I have always had a mind for accounting and tax. As a young man I decided to take an aptitude test at our local college. The results strongly indicated that I would be well suited for accounting. I thought what the heck, let’s give it a shot! That turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. Accounting and taxes have always clicked for me unlike anything else I have ever done. I can honestly say that I cannot envision myself doing anything else.
Why are you passionate about what you do?
I find a lot of satisfaction in connecting with people and utilizing my years of experience to help them save money by reducing their taxes; it’s extremely rewarding.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
The child in me would have loved to be a professional hockey player. After discovering that was not in the cards, I feel grateful to be one of the lucky few to have found a career that I am truly passionate about.
What is your favorite practice area?
I enjoy the diversity of work my practice brings me. However, my favorite time of year is personal tax season. I love catching up with all my clients and getting updated on what is new and exciting in their lives.
